Hankin Vampyr-pelin ehkä pari kuukautta sitten, mutta vasta hiljattain aloin pelata sitä. Sen pitäisi korkeimmalla vaikeusasteella kestää yli 30 tuntia, eli saisi samalla ruksittua yhden kesäkisan tehtävänkin.
Fiksu ihminen olisi harjoitellut pelaamista helpoimmalla tasolla, eikä hypännyt suoraan syvään päätyyn. Tavallaan ois kiva olla semmoinen fiksu ihminen. 😅
Yhden kovemman välivastustajan (William Bishopin) eliminoimisessa meinasi kyllä toivo ja usko loppua. Katsoin jo huijauskoodejakin, mutta ne olisi vaatineet maksullisen modin, joten ei tullut apua sitäkään kautta. 😅 Päätin sitten kokeilla vielä yhden kerran ennen luovuttamista ja siirtymistä helpompaan tasoon. Mutta kappas: sainkin Bishopin hengiltä ja pääsin pelissä seuraavaan vaiheeseen.
Tykkään kovasti pelin grafiikasta ja ääninäyttelijöistä. Tarinakin on tähän mennessä ollut sen verran kiinnostava, että aloitin omaa Helsingin yöstä starttaavaa vampyyrifiilistelytarinaa. Tarkoitus on siis vain fiilistellä, ei tehdä tästä tavoitteellista kässäriprojektia. Ainakin toivon, ettei tämä lähtisi lapasesta, että saisin tärkeämmät projektit joskus kondikseen. 😄
Turhauttaa kieltämättä kuolla koko ajan, kun en vielä hanskaa taistelutaktiikoita ja vastustajatkin tuppaa olemaan välillä tosi sitkeitä pysymään hengissä. Että ois varmaan siitä helpoimmalla tasolla harjoittelusta voinut olla jotain hyötyä... 😅

Then I saw the trailers and my stance eased based on the beauty of those visuals.
I watched the uncut version of Robert Eggers' remake last night, and it was enjoyable enough.
Beautifully shot, and fairly well told, the remake doesn't fundamentally offer anything new but modernity for its own sake.
It won't deeply influence the future of the genre as the original has done, and continues to do.

I had seen a presentation sponsored by the Goethe-Institut Washington, in D.C., in a small theater on the National Mall with live music back in the early 2000's and loved it.
For me, a remake seemed not just unnecessary, but utterly hubristic given the historical significance of the original.

Ich weiß nicht so recht, ob ich Vampyr empfehlen soll. Als Nächstes spiele ich Mafia 3 weiter. LiS folgt erst, wenn ich Bock habe, Geld auszugeben, da ich hier nur die erste Episode vom ersten Teil habe.

Nachdem ich herausgefunden habe, dass man die Personen heilen kann, macht das Spiel wirklich Spaß. Ich habe außerdem herausgefunden, dass ich das Spiel schon einmal durchspielte, nur alles vergessen habe. Spricht in der Regel nicht für das Spiel, aber es macht trotzdem Spaß.
Also ich werde Vampyr noch einmal durchspielen. Läuft super auf dem ROG Ally. Wie gut es unter Bazzite läuft, werde ich auch noch testen.
Aktuell macht mir unter Bazzite lediglich die Hitzeentwicklung zu schaffen, wenn ich keine (für mich) einfache Steuerung für die Leistungsmodi habe (wie in Armoury Crate). Klar, ich kenne mich etwas mit Technik und so aus, aber ich habe nach der Arbeit nicht so die Lust mich damit zu beschäftigen. Deshalb spiele ich es aktuell unter Windows.
Ich will doch nur spielen ... uh uh, uh uh. Ich tue doch nichts.

Just finished playing Dontnod's #Vampyr. 32 hours. The game is original and charming. The combat sucks extremely. It feels very unrewarding and clunky and in the way of the story. Then again only munchkin peasants play RPGs because of the combat. Achievements are broken in GoG which was also a big turnoff because I kind of worked hard to get some of them.
Anyways, cool game, nice story: 7/10.

Then again only munchkin peasants play RPGs because of the combat. Achievements are broken in GoG which was also a big turnoff because I kind of worked hard to get some of them.
Anyways, cool game, nice story: 7/10.

Playtime: 27mVampyr (or "I don't vant to suck your blood, but I might have to), is an open-world third-person ARPG, set in London during the 1918 Spanish Flu.
Yesterday's "I feel like hot garbage due to lack of sleep" turned out to be "Actually, sick. Again." so a game set during the Spanish flu feels vaguely appropriate.
The setup of the game is interesting, but gameplay turned out to be a little more frustrating than expected. You're a doctor who wakes up in a mass grave to find he's been turned into a vampire.
However, for some reason that I would dig around and find if I was feeling a little less half-dead, any time I turned in game, the experience would make a whip-pan seem positively leisurely in comparison.
More than once while I was trying to escape the men pursuing me, and seeking to kill me... again?... in attempting to turn a corner, I'd find myself having turned so fast I was disoriented, or worse still, running TOWARD my pursuers.
It hasn't really grabbed me at this point; if I'm in the mood for a supernaturally themed ARPG, I'm more likely to load up Ghostwire: Tokyo than Vampyr, or for vampire-on-vampire violence, probably Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodhunt (at least as long as the servers are live).
I'll probably give Vampyr another shot when my hearing isn't going wild, but for now it's:
