Lake of Dracula (1971), 2nd film in the Bloodthirsty Trilogy, starts with a dream. Then the dream events seem to really happen. And opening coffins is always a bad idea. There are vampires, and Dracula is involved in directly. Not a bad movie.

Jim Wynorski's Vampirella (1996) isn't that great but it's not that bad. It's not sexy enough and it's not fun enough but it's moderately enjoyable. Vampirella deserved a better movie than this.

I found myself liking Tod Browning's 1935 Mark of the Vampire a bit more on a rewatch. Most of its problems are due to butchering by the Production Code. Carol Borland and Bela Lugosi look great but sadly most of their scenes were heavily cut.

Bram Stoker’s Dracula, Coppola's best movie. I had no problems with the love story. There are hints in the novel that justify it. By 1992 a fresh approach was needed. Made when Hollywood could still make visually interesting films. Great movie.

I tried so hard to like Transylvania 6-5000 (1985). I really did. I like 80s comedy. I like Jeff Goldblum. And it has Geena Davis as the cutest sexiest vampire you've ever seen. But for me the humour just fell flat. Your mileage may vary of course.
