Today I learned "grody" is a #ValleyGirl word. Huh... I know literally one person who uses that word, that being my friend I keep #dreaming is #trans. It doesn't necessarily mean anything though, it's more of an interesting observation unless otherwise specified.

Oh. My. God. Becky. How did NOBODY tell me they remade Valley Girl?!??
That was pretty much the most fabulous thing I've ever seen. I mean. Don't get me wrong. It was terrible. Obviously. But, zomg, I LOVED it!!
EXACTLY how I remember the 80s. Everyone dressed completely over the top fabulous (So Many Colors!) and basically did absolutely nothing other than hang out at the mall, sing, and dance. I mean.... NAILED IT.
And 🤯 the sheer number of iconic 80s references they got in. I mean. Wow. That was impressive. The completely random costume party was a nice touch. Can anyone say Thriller or Flash Dance? And songs! Zomg, is there like a world record for # of songs in a single movie?
If only ... good God, seriously, would it really have been that hard to dub the lead guy's singing? Cuz... WOW. At least, thank God, they weirdly had another band take over singing I Melt With You.

Took in the 40th anniversary premier if “Valley Girl” which was a B movie indie release in 1983 and one of the early movies starring Nick Cage. I thought they did a good job of capturing the materialism of the 1980s while still aging relatively well. Has an awesome soundtrack and shows off some iconic LA landmarks with filming in the Viper Room on Sunset - before it was the VP. #indie #ValleyGirl #LosAngeles
