Something I am playing in the background is #ValkyriaChronicles2 I remember playing this when I was at University, in 2010. Shame my #PSP crapped out ages ago, fantastic device, however it seemed really finnickity and prone to issues due to the internals being delicate.

Anyway, this is less about the PSP and more about the #ValkyriaChronicles series.
I love VC2, though on reflection and playing it now, the bitesize missions can be nice, but they are a total slog at times. The tone can be a bit weird, with the school setting and ignoring the fact most characters are essentially child soldiers, by choice and not because the horrors of war have forced them to take arms, unless I missed something in the in-game lore. Whilst there are emotional moments, it all feels a bit... Odd.

This will be a satisfying game to finish, especially with RetroAchievements logging my progress on a 100% completion. But it will be months before that happens.

Truth be told, I wish they’d made figures of the #ValkyriaChronicles characters in their regular military gear. But we’re lucky this marginally-popular game got figures at all, and if it takes cheesecake to be economically viable, well, welcome to anime and video game fandom, I guess.
