Cooler today (only 25°C) so did exterior #valet of #Vauxhall / #Opel #Corsa - started with #snowfoam mix of Autoglym Polar Blast + BiltHamber Surfex HD at 10% (wouldn't normally use anything as heavy as that but you can see state car was in previously!)
Contact wash with CarPro Reset. No pics of snowfoam due to working fast because heat!
Single stage polish with Koch Chemie 3.01 mild compound+carnuba #wax, cheap cordless DA (compatible with #Makita batteries) and orange pad that came with it.
I'm fairly new to machine #polishing and didn't use best technique and too much polish (though some on YT recommend keeping pad saturated when working in hot weather to prevent polish drying out, and this seemed to work, #bodywork on this #car far from perfect anyway!)

I am taking my time to set up my new MacBook Pro M3 Max (16/40 64GB).
After many years of using #Valet for all my #CraftCMS and #Laravel projects, I embrace #DDEV and many of its features from the start.
Together with #OrbStack, as the #DockerDesktop replacement, and the immense performance of the M3 Max, work feels like day and night. And all of this with a "cool" 43 degrees on all the cores and response times half of what I had on my old Intel MBP 2.8 Ghz.

Installed #Statamic with #Valet. I was a bit disappointed as I was getting loads of warning and nothing worked on the browser. Then realized that the folder name was used elsewhere, and that was the site giving all the warning. 30 minutes lost, but at least I won’t do that again… 🤣 Does valet have a checked for duplicated paths? First time Statamic user

It's hardly showroom condition, but it's a lot cleaner than it was. I even remembered to take the panniers off and clean them separately.
A horrible but necessary job. I'd much rather be spending my spare time riding it. Anybody know a good motorcycle valet in north-east England?

As nice as #DDEV seemed to be, I am now back to using #Laravel #Valet. If I can't easily get all of my machines to install the same, there is little point. M1 Pro Laptop perfectly liked DDEV, M1 Max Studio, after 2 hours still didn't work properly. Both machines using up-to-date brew, installed with the same commands, very different results

Curious question:
Is "valet parking" a common thing? Or is it a (common) US (only) thing?
I am really confused by the idea of letting someone else park your car for you as a (supposed) widespread service. I've traveled across Europe by car, stayed at a number hotels and never even once seen anything like that exist.
