While I have no idea why #ValeriePlante is really quitting politics, the very idea of being a politician seems exhausting to me. So I can’t even fathom what it might be like to be a woman politician.

What I do know is that I’ve lived in the #Montreal area for over 35 years, and #Plante is easily the best mayor we’ve ever had. It’s not even close. The city has been transformed since she became #Mayor.

A fence is in the process of being erected around a large autonomous space (a formerly empty lot) for people who are homeless. Tents and gardens have been set up in the space. The owner of the lot is erecting a fence to preserve the profitability of the area, which they are not using currently and have no future immediate plans for. Cement is being poured tomorrow and construction will be finished asap.

We will have a brief meeting first at 3516 Parc, 9am, to see what actions🥊we can do to oppose the construction (which will likely start at 8am) and move down to where the fence is being put up afterward. NUMBERS NEEDED!!! SHARE!
