EP 8 part 2

I've said it before, I'm so glad Cherri and Angel's friendship remained intact, and by the end of the episode I totally believe we will be seeing much more of her and her story in Season 2.

That night the group is having a final cheers before meeting the angels in battle, with a few key interactions that just made me smile. #AngelDust and Husk are so good for each other, they may be only friends now, but I don't see it remaining in that territory for long. It may be rough though as I don't think Angel's had (in life or death) a stable relationship of that sort.

We cut to #Charlie who is letting her fears of failure overwhelm her as she stands in front of Angel's door. #Vaggie finds her and finally we get the #chaggie moment we've been waiting for. I really wish they had their own duet and not a reprise of Charlie and Lucifer's father/daughter song. As it is though, the moment is beautiful, and very needed for the two.

Now, while a good song, I think 'Out For Love' is a really useless one. It seems to imply that Vaggie is bloodthirsty and out making bad or rash decisions because of her hatred of angels. Or herself. But, she isn't. Vaggie's whole character is being there and loving Charlie. She doesn't need to be instructed on fighting for love because she's literally been doing that since day 1.

#Vaggie has got it the worst this season. Between her character just kinda being shoved into plot points for no reason. Having to play the straight character to the tomfoolery around her. Singing or having songs flung at her that don't fit. Its been rough.

Meanwhile #Alastor and #Charlie go to Cannibal Town and the territory of the Overlord, Rosie. There, they ask her help to rally the Cannibals to fight (and eat) the angels. And for real, Rosie was built up, fan cannon mostly, as this big bad overlord.

She may still be too. Damn if I don't love her though.

Post Ep 6 Theories

Theory time- because it's such an emotional cliffhanger and there are only 2 more episodes.

I expect the pacing for this to be breakneck. There just isnt the time needed for all these emotions and battleplans.

I hope we do get the immediate fallout of this. Not just inference. I think Charlie's gonna snap, simply, all this would be too much for any heart to handle. She's not gonna care about #Vaggie being an ex-exterminator, but she is gonna take the continuous lying very hard by someone she deeply loves and trusts.

That's to top off her dreams being crushed (just like her dad said would happen) and the other's progress being shredded.

Speaking of the battle though. #Lucifer better damn well show up to fight alongside his daughter. Otherwise what was the tearful Ep 5 all about?

He's very OP though. Luci can work on forcing the angels back through the portal and closing it. Without sacrificing himself, please. This isnt a shonen.

During all this #Vaggie, looks decidedly uncomfortable when there's talk of Heaven. Which leads into the fan theory of her being an angel. (But that story isn't this episode)

The loan sharks interrupt with a catapult (What?) and through the carnage of them attacking the Hotel and Alastor transforming and eating them. Charlie finally confronts her father about his lack of support even though someone like Alastor can find a way to help her.

This begins the most beautiful damn song of the series so far. "More Than Anything' had me bawling. I've had to have listened to it like 50 times since it dropped. I cry almost every time.

Charlie surprises #Vaggie by putting her in charge because, as she admits, she trusts everyone. (At least she recognizes her issue) Vaggie is noticeably uncomfortable with this but forges ahead anyway.

Vaggie had to have had a military or paramilitary life. Whether that was instrumental to her death, we dont know.

Charlie's idea of Trust falls was fun but didnt quiet pull off what they were hoping for. Then Angel Dust makes a suggestion. Who could've guessed it'd be a BDSM dungeon?

Finally Vaggie gets to have an idea of her own. Comrades in arms. Foxhole buddies. Trauma bonding. She tosses, literally, both Angel Dust and Pentious into the middle of a turf war. Husk makes a sneaky get away.

My thoughts for Ep 1, and I'm gonna try to avoid major spoilers, but if you've kept up with the teasers and trailers then you've seen most of it anyway.

It's perfectly functional as a 1st episode, introducing the main 4, and the idea behind what Charlie wants to do with the hotel. But TBH the biggest thing is the meeting with Adam and what is unilaterally decided at the end of that meeting. (Spoiler) It's a direction I didn't see.

My thoughts for Ep 1, and I'm gonna try to avoid major spoilers, but if you've kept up with the teasers and trailers then you've seen most of it anyway.

The intro was great. Paying homage to the pilot with the black/white shadow images- narrated by #Charlie. Alastor's snarky commercial. #HappyDayInHell. Was nice to see the full animation to the song finally. Charlie meets Adam, the head of the Exterminators, and eventually gets rock-'n'-rolled out of the room- After establishing Adam is the BIGGEST douche. Adam's song is good however.

There's also the B-plot of #Vaggie getting #Alastor #AngelDust and the others to help redo the commercial into something not so cynical.
