Neues aus #Kroatien. Nachdem der Kroatische #Handball Verband insistiert hat, den, die faschistische #Ustaša glorifizierenden Sänger, #Thompson auf der Bühne der Feier in der Hauptstadt zu sehen, hat der Bürgermeister die Willkommensfeier nach Bronze der #HandballEM abgesagt. Nun sind Politik und Medien im Ausnahmezustand. Die kroatische Regierung will nun die Ausrichtung der Feier übernehmen und Thompson soll natürlich auftreten. Anscheinend hat der Völkermarkter Bezirkshauptmann was damit zutun. Es handelt sich hierbei um ebenjenen Behördenleiter, der über Jahre das Ustaša-Treffen in Bleiburg/Pliberk ermöglichte! Organisiert vom "Bleiburger Ehrenzug" und, je nach Regierungszusammensetzung, unter der Schirmherrschaft des kroatischen Parlaments versammelten sich dort Reaktionäre aller Couleur: Faschist*innen, (Neo-)Nazis, Konservative, eine sich nicht distanzierende Kirche, kroatische Politiker*innen, etc.
