It is a common reflection as changes are introduced that what has taken a hundred years to develop can be torn down in hours and may never be recovered. What are Congress and the Senate thinking (I won’t speculate on the voting public who seem content to sink into a feudal, witchcraft dominated future where health, shelter and food are no longer taken for granted by the majority)?

US scientists - your federal government is lost. Set up your own independent structures to help maintain a free society.

"This lung-on-a-chip serves as an accurate model of human lungs to test for drug safety and efficacy." 😂🙄
Context: the now-corrupted NIH plans to stop funding all non-human animal research. Not just for drug testing (for which it is obviously still necessary, unless they don't plan to develop any new drugs?) but seemingly also for fundamental research.
Source: https://nihrecord.nih.gov/2025/07/04/nih-prioritize-human-based-research-technologies#:~:text=NIH%20is%20adopting%20a%20new,to%20reduce%20testing%20in%20animalsMore recent source that @susanleemburg already shared on here: https://www.drugdiscoverytrends.com/nih-announces-end-to-funding-for-animal-only-studies/
However, the NIH apparently cannot change policy without a minimum consultation period from the public first, so anyone can comment about this proposition here: https://www.fda.gov/news-events/fda-meetings-conferences-and-workshops/fda-nih-workshop-reducing-animal-testing-07072025
They tried to remove the comment box, but people complained about this so it is back now. Will anyone look at the comments? Who knows..
