Because of recent ToS of #codeberg, I have to write few words.

I am from Iran. For years, we've been blocked by the US sanctions. These sanctions didn't hurt the regime much. But it does hurt me people greatly. The US isn't shy about doing whatever they want with other nations for their benefits or in the name of fighting terrorism.

#cryptocurrency has been a way for us to trade with parties abroad without any government, America or our own, being able to censor the money transfer.

Imagine, if one day the US government puts a sanction on the whole Europe, what will citizens of each side could do?

That's the power the traditional money system gives to the governments. If a US citizen wants to give me money for a job, or vice versa, what right does our governments have to prevent us from doing so? Why the governments have to interfere with every single thing their citizen does?
