@blogdiva I've said it before and I'll say it again. The #usps is a governmental service delineated in the Constitution. It should not be forced to "turn a profit." We don't ask any other public service, e.g. military, education, to make money. Mail delivery is a service for us—We, the People.

My gosh. The package that spurred me to post about the mysteries of the Indianapolis Postal Tarpit finally left there after several days. It went all the way to Fort Wayne for a day. As of this morning, it’s back in Indianapolis again. It started in Wisconsin nine days ago heading here to Virginia.

You *say* #USPS should be privatized, but you know those weird delivery services you can never remember the names of? The ones with unmarked vehicles and people roaming around your yard at 9 PM? The ones that kind of deliver if they feel like it?

For those of you who think #Amazon doesn't care much about its delivery drivers: Because of all the smoke here, they are handing over all deliveries to the local post office. The #USPS, in turn, are forcing us to drive down to the post office to get our large packages because they don't come house to house in my area. That's a 12-mile round trip for me.🙄

And yes, I know! Shame on me for ordering from them. But sometimes they are the only fucking alternative for some of the weird shit I need.
