  1. CW: uspol, the stinking Democrat brand

Dems’ own polling shows massive brand problem ahead of 2026

Nearly 2 months into the second Donald Trump administration, a majority of voters in battleground House districts still believe Democrats are “more focused on helping other people than people like me,” according to a poll conducted by the Democratic group Navigator Research. Among independents, just 27% believe Democrats are focused on helping them.

Only 42% of respondents said Democrats share their values. A majority — 56% — said Democrats are not looking out for working people.

But Democrats’ difficulties appear to go deeper. The poll found a whopping 69% of voters said #Democrats were “too focused on being politically correct.” Another 51% said “elitist” described the #DemocraticParty well.

Just 38% of voters believe that Democrats’ policies prioritize the middle and working class, while 35% believe they primarily benefit the wealthy.

I have seen several references on social media to the "Dutch American Friendship Treaty" (#DAFT) today as a possible way to leave the US. I'm putting several links here.

From the acronym, I'd think this was a joke, but many of the links I'm seeing predate this election cycle. Does anyone know if this really means there's a way to get to the EU for a €4500 investment?
