So, price of oil is $57.536 ppb. This is down from a year ago. This is down in a four year slide. Renewables have changed the demand for oil. The US is a net oil products exporter since 2019.
Why would for profit oil companies invest time and money in Venezuelan oil that is still untouched, underground, and would require 10 years to create profit, when oil is in decline as a global energy source? Why voluntarily create a supply glut to destroy your own profit margin?
Supply and demand.
Trump aids oil companies much more by gutting renewables than by seizing untapped oil fields.
This isn't about oil. Global oil is about profit, only. Trump is lying. Don't believe the Lie.
