The latest #AustraliaInstitute podcast with Allan Behm and host Dr. Emma Shortis contains an interesting observation about one of the factors behind #USia being so thoroughly outwitted by #Iran; namely, that #American "diplomats" / negotiators just aren't that bright, skilled, or educated, when compared to their Iranian counterparts.
#USPol folks might find it interesting as an external perspective.

It's pretty impressive that #USia and its Elected King have managed to make the Catholic Church, and Iran into the moral and sympathetic heroes of the world.

It's time for #America #USia to recognise its strategic situation; that it cannot hold the straits of Hormuz for longer than Iran can close them, thus the futility of continuing to fight, and to surrender to #Iran and begin funding the necessary reparations to rebuild the damage inflicted by its illegal act of aggression. #USPol #WorldPol

I have at times tried to figure out what #USia's King Floridaman sounds and looks like; references to other world phenomena. The combination I think I've landed upon, is that he sounds like a stupid person, who thinks they're smarter than everyone around them. So his speech is always condescending, but made up of child-size words with simple modifiers. The real weirdness though, is his mouth; the way he moves it when he talks is just odd, it's like a dog's pooching anus when it's defecating.

People ask “when did #America ( #USia ) go wrong?” and the obvious answer is; when the population of the British trade administration colony, established to facilitate trade between Britain and a vast planned Native American commonwealth nation, allowed a “sovereign citizen” and 1%er-of-his-day tax cheat, one George Washington, to lead a tax rebellion against his government.
Everything rotten about the #USA, and its national character, comes from their celebration of this crime.

How to tell you live in a #Monarchy, elected or hereditary; The partner of the leader has a role, or is even relevant or visible in the functioning of the government. This is systemic, not specific to any one regime.

About the only industries #USia has any "leadership" in, are #NuclearPower, and #AI.
Unsurprisingly, they're both environmentally destructive, offer no unique benefits to make up for their downsides, and have to be forced on people through compromised safety legislation. Pretty much the only argument in favour of them, is "people invested in this (be it money, or educational years), therefore they have a right to a return".

Imagine if SCP had been the distributed fiction community, the roleplaying of whose content had taken over the #USia government, rather than QAnon.

"Australia doesn't share values with a country (#USia) that still has execution on its statute books in, what, 34 of the states, and where I think in about the same number of states, and 11 year old girl can get married. I mean, these are pretty strange things."
- Allan Behm, Advisor, International & Security Affairs, the Australia Institute.

An observer from outside #USia would note that the people who bombed abortion clinics, achieved their aim of making abortion unavailable. The people who attacked and assaulted democratic politicians, achieved their aims of making Democrats ineffective, irrelevant and cowed. The people who stormed parliaments, achieved their aim of controlling parliaments.

The purpose of the #USia Strategic Oil Reserve has been to dump oil onto markets where #Venezuela has been selling, in order to depress the prices the country received. USia is going to have to rebuild that reserve now, and I hear they just took over a country with a bunch of oil. #USPol

"You know, it’s funny, we Americans are very proud of not having a king. It’s kind of why we left."
No Jimmy, your people *literally* offered yourselves to the British king as HIS personal subjects, if he would overthrow a parliament that wanted you to pay (amongst the empire's lowest) taxes to cover the cost of defending you against reprisals for the ethnic censing and genocide you were perpetrating, despite parliament's strict orders against.
