Call me a spring chicken, but I find the occasional obsession with geometric construction to be an annoying relic of the past.
If you don't know what geometric construction is, it is using a compass and a ruler to draw geometric shapes according to a specification. Like,
"Draw an equilateral triangle."
"Draw a line parallel to this other line that goes through this point."
In this day and age, it is a *cute* skill, but also a mostly useless one.
What's next? Let's teach students how to use the abacus?
I am at the age of having done drafting with an actual drafting table in engineering school. I don't recall ever learning how to do geometric constructions.
"What if you did it, but just don't remember?"
Well, if I don't remember, that tells you how much of an impact it had on my life: none.

There was this woman the other day she couldn’t take here attention away from her screen, one finger mostly swiping up. There was not once an emotion on here face.
