I've never really stopped to appreciate them in this aspect. Through the years, we've lost a few to wear and this one's fading. There are 5 more still in use, thankfully in better condition.

The book collects authorized interviews with members of the experimental music group Einstürzende Neubauten (translation: Collapsing New Buildings).

In the '70s, Dad humbly advertised occasional offerings in Rocket's Blast ComiCollector (RBCC); a fanzine of renown that ran from the '60s to the '80s. This photo is one of those nearly 50 year old listings. It's an interesting look back at comic collecting before the Internet. Naturally, the listing is no longer valid.

This 1996 book commemorates Olympiad XXVI, held in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. Our shop was 61 years old.
Today is the 80th Anniversary of D-Day, when WWII Allied forces took back the beaches of Normandy. This shop was 5 years old.
In a few weeks, France will again be focal as World athletes complete in the XXXIII Olympics. The store is 85 years old.

I love old bookstores. Found one in Charlottetown and I had to peek in. This one was packed to rafters and owner was s nice old gent who was happy to talk books as much as we wanted to. We found some nice gardening books that we picked up for our collection

There's a pleasure in reading a rough old pulp paperback. Will new books, with generic graphics on "immortal" acid-free paper catch the interest of a reader 3 or 4 generations hence?
Older books instantly transport a reader into their stories. Texture makes the world feel real, organic, and lived-in, the art gives you a clue what's in store, & they absolutely grab your attention!
