Weiß hier jemand, warum der #Carlsen Verlag 1995 nur den ersten Band von Mike Mignolas #Hellboy herausbrachte? Und das coloriert, die Ausgaben bei Cross Cult ab 2002 sind dann durchgehend in schwarz-weiß gehalten. Mich würde der Grund interessieren, warum da nur ein Band erschien und die Serie dann gestoppt wurde.

It is important to remember that many of DC Vertigo’s original lineup of comics *were* creator-owned (Preacher, Fables, Y: The Last Man) and while the leadership (and ownership) of the imprint has changed a lot since then those agreements absolutely should be honoured.
If they aren’t then (as Willingham points out) legal action is both costly and time consuming. Time at 67 he doesn’t feel he has to spare. Fair play to him.

One thing in particular I learned from this: It doesn’t sound like Willingham was told about DC licensing Fables to Telltale Games for The Wolf Among Us. While that game may have received positive responses, with Fables being creator owned there is no way that should have been allowed to happen.
