Although subtlety is not one of the virtues of Philip Evergood's 1934 "Dance Marathon", viewers today might well require an explanation of what dance marathons were in order to understand the picture.

Once the subject is clarified, the picture provides an excellent starting point for thinking about art and the Great Depression and the possibilities and problems of "political" art then and now.

"Dance Marathon" also offers a way into some important literature of the twenties and thirties, since a dance marathon is central to hardboiled writer Horace McCoy's 1935 novel "They Shoot Horses, Don't They?".

Jared French -- Cavalrymen Crossing a River -- 1939.

I find it fascinating to see the implicit but powerful eroticism at work in a 1930s New Deal art commission.

Only two of the ten murals Arshile Gorky painted while working in the WPA Federal Arts Project for the Newark Airport Administration Building survive.

As has happened with a number of other New Deal artworks, the other eight have been lost or destroyed.

После рабочего дня мало сил, ничего не хочется. Работать с людьми целых 8 часов - это отдача психоэнергии, которая восполняется медленно. Надеюсь, однажды, став программистом больше не придется это делать...

День 18

Сегодня продолжил листать #w3c #css С коллегой, который проходил стажировку на фронтенде поболтали насчет того, что надо на такой работе, про #map и #hoisted функции... Понял что многое позабыл полистал также раздел по #js в одной книге, вспомнил старое, но вопросы пока остались открытыми.
Сейчас сижу играюсь с логическим анализатором #slogic считаю 1 и 0, надо бы потом полистать документацию, чтобы понять как #uart начинает передачу. Попробовал получить сообщение с #uart но не получилось, #minicom выдал нечитаемые символы, хотя замкнутые выводы #rx_tx выдали тестовое сообщение "AT", создал .rules в udev но бестолку. Во всяком случае есть мой любимый #stlink_v3 он также может в #usart #uart Разберусь потом... Пока что в первую очередь нужно разобраться досконально в reference manual от #stm32f407vgt6
