@PeterMotte : zwaar gefrustreerde Hamas-strijders hebben zéker wel vredelievende Israëliërs gegijzeld en vermoord; we moeten het niet mooier maken dan het was.
Op 7 okt. 2023 heeft Israël echter ook *zelf* Israëliërs vermoord, o.a. onder de Hannibal Directive (voorkómen dat Israëliërs zouden worden gegijzeld) en deels door "friendly fire" in de ontstane chaos.
De vraag is m.i. vooral vanuit welk perspectief je 7 okt. bekijkt. Als je dat doet zoals Ronald Plasterk [1], kún je inderdaad recht proberen te lullen wat hartstikke krom is - en wie weet overtuig je er ook nog wel een paar halve zolen mee. Iedereen die naar de VN en hulporganisaties luistert, ziet alle jankende Zionisten (die steeds hetzelfde riedeltje herhalen) langzaam maar zeker op hun bek gaan.

Westerse landen zijn al sinds ver vóór 7 okt. 2023 medeplichtig aan de aanval die dag - doordat zij voortdurend Palestijnen (in plaats van Israëliërs) "terroristen" bleven noemen - noodkreten van minder gewelddadige Palestijnen volstrekt negerend.
Israël is simpelweg bezig om alle Palestijnen uit te roeien. Daarbij loopt zij een gigantisch risico om daar uiteindelijk ook zelf aan ten onder te gaan.

IMO we should combat the insane "working definition of AntiSemitism" as defined by the IHRA (International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance). The lie on https://holocaustremembrance.org says it all:
"A world without genocide"
They mean genocide on JEWS, not anyone else.
It is DISGUSTING that victims of Holocaust are being abused (again, post mortem) to make people believe that it are the Israeli's who are always under threat of a new genocide.
