Recién estrenado el otoño decidimos pasar el día del domingo haciendo la ruta de La Senda de Ursi.

La ruta se inaugura en septiembre de 2009 y es un homenaje al artista y escultor Ursicino Martínez, Ursi, natural de Villabellaco, Palencia.Consta de 31 esculturas repartidas a lo largo de todo el recorrido, por parte de escultores del grupo Muriel, al que pertenecía Ursi.

Esta ruta la puedes hacer desde tres puntos, Villabellaco ( pueblo natal de Ursi), Ermita Santuario del Carmen o Valle de Santullán, nosotras decidimos hacerla desde Villabellaco. Aquí tienes un parking habilitado para la ruta

Hace 10 años la hicimos saliendo de la ermita del Carmen hacia Villabellaco, y después siguiendo hacia el Mirador de la Rulaya, pero en esta ocasión la hicimos hacia el sentido contrario, sabíamos que nos iba a costar más esfuerzo, pero la vida es para los valientes!!

Nos esperan 13 kilómetros de ruta, comenzamos!!!!

Saliendo por la carretera a pocos metros tienes este cartel que te indica las  diferentes  rutas, (es sentido circular ) no hay problema, nosotras optamos por coger la de la izquierda y caminar hacia el Santuario del Carmen, la distancia hasta aquí es de media hora

Sin ninguna dificultad llegamos hasta el Santuario del Carmen, como vamos sin prisa decidimos parar por aquí para tomar un café, a parte de la ermita , dispone de bar,  restaurante y alojamiento, un sitio muy chulo

A partir de aquí, vamos a dar un pequeño parque con un par de esculturas y seguimos hacia el ascenso hacia el Alto de los castillos y su famosa cruz, un repecho en subida de aproximadamente 2.5 kilómetros, se nos hizo duro la verdad, pues el camino tiene mucho pedrusco, pero al llegar las vistas son impresionantes, allí tienes el llamado mirador de La Solana.

Al llegar aquí, decidimos parar en el mirador sobre media hora, fotos, vídeos, un poco de bocata 🥪 , agua ….. después empezamos el descenso hacia el pueblo de Valle de Santullán

En Valle, hacemos otra parada de media hora a la sombra, más bocata, descansar piernas e hidratación, una vez que atraviesas ese pequeño pueblo tienes muy bien indicada la continuación de la ruta de Ursi, al poco de comenzar te adentras en un precioso bosque, con numerosas esculturas.

Atravesar el bosque nos lleva aproximadamente 40 minutos, aquí nos encontramos varias esculturas

Y poco a poco y ya con el cansancio encima, empezamos a divisar el pueblo de Villabellaco

Cómo veis la ruta es de 13 kilómetros, nosotras la hicimos de 11.30 de la mañana a 17.15 de la tarde, contando el tiempo en comer, aperitivo, refrigeración 😅, fotos, vídeos..etc.

Llevar agua , bocata o aperitivo

Crema solar y gorra si vas en verano

En otoño, invierno, hacerlo por la mañana
