It was hot and sunny in #PDX today so Ursa wanted to lope back and forth from the kitchen to the deck. I came up from the downstairs and realized it was quite warm and went to get the cat in so I could close the door.
No cat. Hmmm.
I was just about to deploy the treats when I heard an exhalation from the window box.
Inside the hot glass I discovered that basking in the direct sun wasn’t hot enough! Ursa was baking in his dark tent, in the sun, in the west-facing window box. The window box that must be blocked in peak summer because it makes the house so hot the AC can’t keep up.

Ursa says, “No Switch! Only Sin Biscuits!!!”
I went across town and he’s been by his lonesome. Thankfully he didn’t purchase any games with his fuzzy backside!

Today I’m receiving expert coaching on resting.

I was about to get up to soak in some Epsom salts and hot water but Ursa suggested an alternate plan.

This afternoon the Goodwill Ambassador and I drove around “greater” PDX metro (we went up to Vancouver !) distributing gifts we didn’t manage to get out at the New Year. We kept our streak of getting in a walk every weekend by ending our junket with a stroll around Mt. Scott Park.
While we were out Ursa Minor engaged his Goblin Mode DLC and we arrived back to discover he’d knocked over (from the dining table) or carried multiple things onto the kitchen/dining room floor! He seemed well pleased with his efforts!

Ursa meets B2EMO
This amazingly detailed, 3D printed model of one of the best droids in the known galaxies was a last minute order from the Ukraine that @christi3k decided was worth it even if wouldn’t arrive until after the end of the year. Bee rolls on squeaky wheels, can turn and move their head, and they have a light (which made me gasp with delight).
Ursa does not like the squeaky wheels and is unconvinced that the light is good. Ursa is awaiting the annual refresh of his “good trash” box, when all those bows become his nest.
