Am Dienstag wechselte ich in das Nachbarkanton #Uri, um die weiteren 3 Tage endlich einmal wieder mit meinem Vater in den Bergen zu verbringen.

Von Gurtnellen (Reuß-Tal, nördlich des Gotthardtunnels) stapften wir zunächst auf die niedrigste SAC-Hütte der Schweiz, die Tresch-Hütte (1475m).
Vorgestern ging es dann über die wunderschöne Pörtlilücke (2506m) zur Etzlihütte (2052m), bei der wohl der höchste Hot Tub der Alpen steht, den wir natürlich in Anspruch nahmen. 😃

Das Foto, das aus zwei zusammengefügten Bildern besteht, entstand beim Abstieg von der Pörtlilücke zur Etzlihütte.

Im #Fediverse spielt das #Protokoll #WebFinger gemäß #RFC 7033 eine wichtige Rolle, um Nutzende ausfindig zu machen.

Diese Webfinger-Abfragen finden im normalen Umgang mit dem Fediverse aus Sicht der Nutzerschaft hinter den Kulissen statt. Von einer fediversalen #Instanz wird erwartet, daß sie über eine sogenannte "Well-known #URI" (dazu an anderer Stelle mehr) auf eine Webfinger-Anfrage reagiert.

Dieser (gut bekannte) Identifikator lautet:

/.well-known/webfinger?resource=acct:

(wobei die Domain der Instanz sowie die abzufragende Kennung zu ergänzen ist)

Netterweise kann man diese Abfrage auch über die Weboberfläche von webfinger.net durchführen lassen.

Wer neugierig ist und dies (z.B. mit der eigenen Fediverse-Adresse) ausprobieren will:

➡️ https://webfinger.net/ im Browser aufrufen.

➡️ Oben rechts im Suchkästchen "Lookup WebFinger" die gewünschte Adresse eingeben, z.B. [email protected] (ohne das führende At-Zeichen) oder die #URL-Schreibweise https://mastodonium.de/@tagestipp und das Ergebnis bewundern.

➡️ Es sollte ein "#JSON Resource Descriptor (JRD)" zu sehen sein. Okay, möglicherweise ist das immer noch ziemlich technisch... ;-)

Just so we're clear: I include #Matrix direct messaging link in format of https://matrix.to/#/@vintprox:envs.net 👌...which #YouTube has no trouble with. The reason I even publish DM link instead of my #MatrixSpace, though, is because YouTube has a meltdown from links containing a second # (number sign, replace @ with it to get into my space).

From technical POV, it's one correct #RegularExpression away for YouTube, as many modern social media and video platforms can handle it and do use normal #regex. But, on the other hand, #MatrixTo service just shouldn't be employing such flawed #URL pattern or provide an alternative one, even if #URI standard allows the former to exist.

So, yeah, there is that - it is hard to gather video viewers in such a place. It's a single thing that I miss from Discord invite links. Matrix ones don't need a vanity and it's sweet - one solution is put it through #URLShortner, but then the entire point is lost.

The QR you are posting, which is already #missing #everything at first glance, is of a different type. Not "#TEXT", but "#URI".
