Car crashes aren't "accident". They are super predictable. We just mostly ignore them.
As cars before bigger and safer*, drivers are more reckless and the number of non-fatal but still really bad crashes have increased. Pedestrian deaths have increased. Our roads are less secure.

* for men only though; women have higher chances to die than man in crashes because air bags aren't designed for them

New overnight train cars coming to a long-haul #Amtrak route near you. Less obvious to note is how much many rural communities depend on these routes - so even Republican electeds see/know the value of the routes.
