  18. Rust and time tell a story at Bottle Beach.

What looks like abstract art is actually rusted trash, unearthed as the land erodes. In the 1950s, NYC filled in the southern edge of the beach with garbage from Queens and Brooklyn. Now, the 25-foot mound is slowly releasing everyday objects from over a century ago—fragments of forgotten lives, resurfacing.

  33. My daughter and I did some urban archaeology in #Glenrothes today. This used to be a house and sawmill. I used to come here when I was at school and pick up sacks of sawdust and wood shavings for the animal cages. Last time I was here, five years or so ago, it was fenced off and protected by security cameras. Now it’s just open and anyone can walk in there.

  34. This was an interesting trip back in time using these old 125 amp, 50 kW #ABB units at the old #EVGo station. I charged to 79% because nobody else was around but I stopped my session when another #EV came and they needed a #charge. My wife needed to run some errands in this area or I would have used a more modern EVGo station. But the time wasn't wasted. I enjoyed doing some #urbanarchaeology at the #deadmall I imagine that's how people feel when they see the ruins of Skara Brae for the 1st time

  36. My home smart #EV #charger defaulted last night and didn't charge and my wife needed to run errands, so I #charged on an ancient 50 kW #EVGo charger at what I think is the mall from "Dawn of the Dead." It is spooky here. #urbanarchaeology #deadmalls
