does anyone know if #Upcloud VPSes are ok to send emails from? what's their IP reputation? I already know how to do SPF/DMARC/DKIM/everything, I've been doing it for a while now, but due to complicated reasons I might have to migrate off netcup

UpCloud - Regarding my previous comments on Contabo, the contrast with UpCloud is like night and day. First and foremost, the best support is the kind I never have to use. If a system simply works as designed, there is no need for support. That’s what I prefer. However, on the extremely rare occasions an issue does arise, it is dealt with efficiently and resolved permanently to ensure it does not reappear. #UpCloud #VPS #hosting #support @upcloud

@chris I've used #Upcloud for this myself. It is fully comparable to Hertzner, DigitalOcean, Vultr etc. Finnish company with datacenters across Europe.

For fremtiden sin del, så håper eg #UpCloud setter en standard ved å åpne datasenter i #Norge - ikkje fordi eg e så glad i hvordan datasentere driftes, men fordi server leverandører i Norge ikkje retter seg mot forbrukere på en effektiv og moderne måte.

Eg vil at #Linode og #DigitalOcean slår følge, eller at Norske datasentere begynner å samarbeide for å kunne konkurrere.

To implement this optimally, does UpCloud provide internal NTP servers for clients to use within each data center? Using a local source would be ideal to avoid the latency and jitter of public NTP pools.

Has anyone had any luck verifying their UpCloud account with a prepaid debit card in the US, like one you get from the store? I really think the problem with why it says no is because of issues with the "bank security" thing, and I was thinking maybe a prepaid card wouldn't have that and wouldn't require asking for it. If that works, I'll have to grab one at the store.

If you use #UpCloud as your server provider like me you might be interested in the fact that they have a subreddit (r/upcloud) now.

IPv6 only Servers with Cloudron 8

Cloud Providers like AWS, Hetzner have started to charge for IPv4 addresses. Cloudron 7.1 added IPv6 support but still required an IPv4.

We have tested IPv6 only server setups on #AWS, #Hetzner, #Upcloud & #Vultr and they work great! As a heads up, IPv6 is a totally separate network protocol from IPv4. As such, if you want to host public facing websites and apps, you should still use servers with IPv4.
