💡 Workshop "Cianotipia en soportes sustentables"
Este workshop propone experimentar con la cianotipia, una técnica fotográfica histórica de sencilla aplicación, abordando su procedimiento paso a paso sobre dos soportes diferentes: papel de fibra natural producido artesanalmente y vidrio recuperado mediante el uso de un aglutinante vegetal.
La propuesta busca generar una reflexión sobre las formas de producción de imágenes y sus impactos ambientales, explorando materiales alternativos y prácticas vinculadas a una perspectiva ecológica. A través de la experimentación, los participantes podrán conocer posibilidades creativas que promueven un uso más consciente de los recursos.
Asimismo, el taller invita a explorar la materialidad de los soportes como parte fundamental del lenguaje visual. Las texturas, transparencias y características propias de cada material influyen en la apariencia final de la imagen, convirtiéndose en recursos estéticos y expresivos que amplían las posibilidades de creación fotográfica.
De este modo, la experiencia articula aprendizaje técnico, exploración artística y reflexión ambiental, entendiendo que la elección de los materiales forma parte tanto del proceso creativo como de la construcción de sentido en la imagen.
No se requieren conocimientos previos ni contar con cámara fotográfica o cuarto oscuro. Se incluyen todos los materiales necesarios para trabajar durante la jornada, y cada participante se llevará los cianotipos producidos durante el taller.

In 2025, they’re two strikingly different audiences — the Calgary business luncheon that stood up and cheered twice for Prime Minister Mark Carney when he discussed his pro-pipeline memorandum of understanding with Alberta one day, and the United Conservative gathering that booed Alberta Premier Smith on the same topic the next day.
They hope for some internal stability, as the UCP begins nominating candidates and makes other pivotal preparations for the 2027 election. But the new party board remains a jumble of pro-independence activists and federalists.That’s the new apparent dividing line within a party formed in a shotgun marriage between the Progressive Conservatives and Wildrosers.
It remains Danielle Smith’s party, but much of it is also loyal to Jeffrey Rath and a very different movement, pushing loudly in a very different direction. And the leader will have to continue figuring out how both of those facts can coexist without further clashes, or worse ones.

One of the country’s leading pro-choice organizations is raising alarm about a new social media campaign it says is distorting public perception of abortion access in Canada.
👉 The videos were released just a few weeks before an upcoming November vote by members of Alberta’s governing United Conservative Party (UCP) on a resolution to halt funding for third-trimester abortions in the province, except in cases where the physical health of the mother is at serious risk.
