Sacred Words Of A Nomad Soul @davidjosephwriteshere.wordpress.com@davidjosephwriteshere.wordpress.comThe Beautiful Ruin
What it is that music is trying to say,The tune and the words and that pressure between my eyes,Blessings bounce off the painted glass windows,Frankincense and smoke, slow dancing with my senses.I swirl in bliss and then fall down flatInto the depths of my self-loathing agony,And I wrestle with my inadequacy. My weaknesses suffocate me.I stumble out fast as I canInto the arms of a cruel worldThat I have learned to love,Whose deceit I suddenly crave,An alchemy of smoke, stink, and poor life […]https://davidjosephwriteshere.wordpress.com/2026/06/10/the-beautiful-ruin/

Just a reminder: Trump did NOT win the Nobel Peace Prize.
María Corina Machado won the award and presented Trump with her medal after being pressured (bullied) to do so.
Ironically, Trump’s childish whining and pressure campaign is a stark reminder of why he was unworthy of the Nobel from the start.

Marie du jour, 10 May: St. Teresa of Avila
His Majesty well knows that I can count only upon His Mercy, and, as I cannot help having been what I have, there is nothing for me to do but approach God and trust in the merits of His Son, and of the Virgin, His Mother, whose habit both you and I unworthily wear.
Praise Him, my daughters, for you are really the daughters of Our Lady, and when you have as good a Mother as that, there is no reason for you to be scandalized at my unworthiness.
Imitate Our Lady and consider how great she must be and what a good thing it is that we have her for our Patroness; even my sins and my being what I am have not been sufficient to bring any kind of tarnish upon this sacred Order.

⬦ Reflection Question ⬦
How can I live more worthily as a child of Our Lady by imitating her virtues each day?

In OTHER words: I you have a SEVERE disability and you can't work, #MAGA prefers that you just drop dead from medical neglect. They plan on culling out the herd by doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING for ANYONE deemed #Unworthy of breathing.

…The #NewYorkTimes’ editorial board, which operates separately from the newsroom, endorsed #KamalaHarris for president on Sept 30, saying: “It is hard to imagine a candidate more #unworthy to serve as president of the United States than Donald #Trump.” But in August, it said it would stop endorsing candidates in #NY elections, including the #NYC mayoral race.

Scripture Reading: John 16:13
When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth; for he will not speak on his own, but will speak whatever he hears, and he will declare to you the things that are to come.
St. Teresa Speaks: The Book of Her Life, 40:1
Once while in prayer the delight I felt within me was so great that, as someone who is unworthy of such good, I began to think about how I merited rather to be in that place I had seen was reserved for me in hell… Within this majesty I was given knowledge of a truth that is the fulfillment of all truths. I don’t know how to explain this because I didn’t see anything. I was told without seeing anyone, but I clearly understood that it was Truth itself telling me: “This is no small thing I do for you, because it is one of the things for which you owe Me a great deal; for all the harm that comes to the world comes from its not knowing the truths of Scripture in clarity and truth; not one iota of Scripture will fall short.”
Reflection: Recognizing God’s Supreme Truth
Teresa’s mystical experience reveals how the truth of God penetrates the soul. This knowledge of God’s majesty and truth left her profoundly aware of the unshakable reliability of Scripture and the eternal truths it contains. Do we, like Teresa, believe wholeheartedly in the truths of Scripture? Are we aware of how this divine truth is meant to shape every aspect of our lives?
Novena Prayer
O Holy Mother Saint Teresa, look down from heaven and see: visit this vine and protect what thy right hand hath planted.
(Mention your intentions)
Merciful God, who by thy Spirit didst raise up thy servant Saint Teresa of Jesus to reveal to thy Church the way of perfection: grant that her teaching may awaken in us a longing for holiness until, assisted by her intercession, we attain to the perfect union of love in Jesus Christ thy Son our Lord; who liveth and reigneth with thee, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, ever one God, world without end. Amen.
Our Father…
Hail Mary…
Glory be…
Saint Teresa of Avila, pray for us!

@SynthSteph I played Jamestown a couple of months ago after having had it sitting in my collection for ages, and it was such a pleasant surprise!! It was super fun and it looks gorgeous.
I also have a hidden gem for lovers of soulbornes and metroidvanias called #Unworthy. Very unique art direction, and tough as nails, developed by just one dev!
