#unstream — Public Fediverse posts

On top of #unstream now supporting true releases & release pages, I've started building out a Collection feature. Think of it like your Bandcamp or Mirlo collection but cross-platform - a way to show off music you own & the artists you've supported along the way.

I have several pieces of the new Releases feature for #unstream together!

I'm not calling it quite ready yet, but I would love for some folks to try it out. If you have a verified artist page, you can log in and see the new "Releases" area. Go here and you can either manually add your releases, or click the button to scan for releases on Bandcamp or any other links the app can scrape from the links you've shared. (I'm working on a few other integrations here.)

Finally got most of the pieces in place to turn #unstream into a proper progressive web app: logins for non-artists, saving functionality, eventually release notifications. It works nice when you add it to your phone Home Screen. Kinda obviates the need to deal with app stores.

Throwing in some basic support for Subvert.fm into #unstream. I need to chat with them about exposing an artists API, but for now you’ll be able to add Subvert links to your verified artist page (or the musicbrainz database) and Unstream will recognize it

Unstream - Find Music on Alter...

Hey @kidlightbulbs, got another feature idea for unstream.stream.

Some of my friends send me music recommendations by just sending me a link to Spitify or YouTub, or occasionally Tidal Sometimes without even bothering to include any artist name or title.

It would be great to to be able to paste those links into Unstream and get search results as if I'd entered the name of the artist linked. Bonus points for the right album, double for the right track: )

Maybe in the short term we could develop a music publishing app that ships a new release to multiple services?

But long term, I'd like to see them all do what #BandWagon is doing, and federate with each other over ActivityPub. So artists can publish on 1 and appear on them all.
