NTP in practice. Mostly it works. Time to time it's like 8 hours off. Internet connection is working.
I already debugged unreliable NTP once and replaced the unreliable "ntp" NTP daemon with much more reliable "chrony" NTP daemon. But still unreliable.
"Old people don't like computers" - because computers are unreliable! Why would I use something that's unreliable? A tuning fork ground out of quartz, invented by Seiko, connected to a battery, semiconductor amplifier, 15-bit counter, few logic gates, stepper motor, cogwheels, hands and a clock face is much more reliable!

The best possible thing other countries can do right now is to find alternate trading partners for the same goods, so that they have a secure reliable supply that isn't at the whim of a madman/conman, and then drop the U.S. as a trading partner all together.

Today the problems began and I got these IP addresses reported to me as being #unreliable:

All the handwringing over #AI is like early #Wikipedia.
In the late 90s, Wikipedia for information was considered completely #unreliable, #unorthodox, and #unacceptable.
Now I find things in Wikipedia that are far beyond anything ever in #EncyclopediaBritannica. The #dataquality and #utility are high. I read it as a starting point, and then I read #sourcematerial when I need more detail.
What AI doesn’t provide YET is #references to its content. AI simply needs a good #editor.
