The other thing: I cannot look at all these #shooters any more. Open any #esports schedule and it is one shooter after another. For me that is simply too much of the same.
As a #millennial I grew up with #UnrealTournament and #Quake, and today's titles do nothing for me by comparison. #Overwatch was the last one I thought was fine. I am not a shooter player as such, but UT is burned into my memory and I still enjoy thinking back to those matches.

This one synthpop band I've been listening to for a very long time on and off, IRIS, I often touted as "It has the guy who made some music for Unreal and UnrealTournament!", I recently discovered to only be half-true!
The fact is, this particular musician (Andrew Sega / Necros), worked for a small music production company and had produced some tracks for them, but by the time they were hired to provide music for Unreal, Necros had already left the company! So he didn't make the tracks *for* Unreal, technically.
Also, I'm pretty sure it was only 2 of his tracks that made it into those games, out of the like.. 50 across the two titles XD Mechanism 8, and Isotoxin

My finds at Pax East: a gorgeous translucent red PS1 controller; Alien Vs Predator: Extinction for PS2; and Unreal Tournament for PS2.
The original UT is one of my favorite games of all time. I grew up playing it on my Pentium II Gateway tower. Curious to see what it's like on a console. It supports up to 4 players.

After many years I was on a Lanparty today. And it was like back in 1999: Drag your stuff to the location, network debugging, Half-Life, Counter Strike, Unreal Tournament, Pizza, Energy Drinks, ...
But one thing was different: Instead of hauling a 30kg tower PC, I brought my Steam Deck, completely with Linux on it. And it worked great. First Windows-less Lanparty, at least for me.

Takkee could not handle the unreal yinglement
I'm just figuring out a problem with the eyes not rendering all the time..
I put an animated texture on vmon which obviously still plays on the ragdoll... It makes it look like he's slowly blinking in utter disbelief of being shot XD
Also, cuz he's shrunken down a little as to not have a head 3x the normal hitbox size, his skeleton when going ragdoll does not scale correctly, I did make a custom ragdoll (called 'karma data') for him eventually :>
