I've just noticed that one of my latest reports to the UTC has been damaged/defaced once again, thanks to the new "infamous" Unicode Contact form.

It seems impossible to quote lines from Unicode data files if they happen to contain strings between angular brackets '<' and '>' which are then automatically stripped out, like if they were unrecognized HTML tags.

This part of my report becomes pointless and incomprehensible then... Pathetic!

Today, after a #job #interview panel I had a 1-on-1 with the head of HR. We talked about transitioning there, DEI there and at my current work, leadership training, etc and then she straight up asks me if I have kids. #awkward

Yes, absolutely: “if you suffer "humiliation, ridicule, mental distress and loss of reputation" for a video that shows you doing your job, either you SUCK at your job, or your job is not something any decent person would be doing”. 😐
What were they thinking of? Drawing attention to themselves, & their extremely poor behaviour, so unprofessional - for goodness sake: at least one of them - caught on camera - was a thief! Try to wrap your head around that!! A law enforcement officer stole money from the man! On camera!! 🤬😤😐

Second (#unpopularOpinion? IDK), not all student emails should get a response. Said colleague got upset when I listed categories like:

- Questions already answered in the #syllabus, in the notes, in the lecture, in an announcement literally 5 minutes ago, in basic university policies, etc.

- Emails with #manipulation, like "I'd hate to have to go over your head, but I really think my grade is unfair. I am an A student and..."

- Repeatedly asking about something already answered (usually wanting points, second/third/twelfth chances, exceptions from course policies, etc.) when the student just didn't like the answer.

- Interesting observations (e.g., "I found a cool website relevant to the course"): very cool, but maybe the interaction has already ended.

- Insults (yes, this has happened)

- Extremely #unprofessional communication like "Yo prof I know u said u don't give out powerpoints but how about i get you any five bootlegged movies you want in mp4 format" (this was sent to me, more or less word for word) or "Hey, toots..." (my ex got an email starting out exactly this way). I suspect female or female-presenting faculty get more of the latter kind of bullshit.

I'd sent an email to US State Department, under Matthew Miller's office. Expressing my concerns with the PR lies about Gaza & Lebanon & Iran. I expressed that US is doing irreparable damage to itself by it's ongoing support of ethnic cleansing & it will harm their international relations with multiple countries & creating increased hatred for US.

This is the response I got back. No joke.

Companies, governments, professional orgs, media, etc that are starting to stand up official instances are *#pissed* about this kind of #unprofessional, #inconsiderate security release timing. @actuallyautistic @peppernut I think this kind of pigeonholing happens a lot. I can recall telling long-time friends I’m a major #introvert — long before my #autism diagnosis — and a few laughed. No way they’d say. Uh yes. Why am I having to explain this to you?

What frustrates me is when “#teachers,” who often like shoving their creds in your face, have no f’ing clue. And this causes #trauma to our kids! #Unacceptable. #Unprofessional.
