Wei Qian, an orphan, took this kid (also an orphan, but also homeless) in and now he's part of the household. The little sister asked him to, but by then Wei Qian had been sharing food with the boy for a while.

Wei Qian took a job with the local gang, which isn't promising.

But he has to support his little sister and the new family member, too. He's also a kid (older, but still a kid) when this happens and we see him grow up.

I assume the leader of the gang helped register the kid: Wei Zhi Yuan

"That means the kid is yours"

Wei Qian is constantly getting beat up. Part of his job, but he makes the kid so worried 🥺

The friend (don't remember his name) when he goes to see Wei Qian at the clinic: "You're the big brother, you should be a role model"

Wei Qian tries to leave the gang.

Oh, shit, the gang took the boy 😖

[Me, during the fight, completely unrelated: hey, I know the numbers! *stars counting out loud* ]

Wei Qian has to fight three thugs so he can leave for good.

"If I lost you, I'd have nothing left"

Ahhh, damn. So many feels.

Ok. I tried it on Youtube and the lack of music at some points makes it weird. Because there's really not much dialogue but the sequence of Wei Qian working his ass off and taking care of his siblings*

Wei Qian is grown up now and he's a college student but also a streamer (if I got it right). And what he cares the most about, above everything else, is his family.

On Viki was better, honestly.

On YouTube the dual subtitles were a bit distracting because my brain just kept being drawn to them trying to identify characters/words I already know (pronouns, and very few others like 不 or 哥 lol)
