Während manche eher unauffällig gefärbt sind, haben andere kräftige und bunte Färbungen – wie zum Beispiel der im Mai ganz blaue Moorfrosch oder der schwarz-gelb gefärbte Feuersalamander. Auch in ihrer Lebensweise und Verbreitung gibt es viele große Unterschiede.
