Ok, I'm working hard on #fosswars (https://fosswars.thecomicseries.com) - and that's all based on #analognowhere (which is public domain, but has a massive wiki at http://analognowhere.com).

The crazy thing is that I'm trying to fill out that already massive wiki with art/stories from a period calls the "FOSS Wars".

My art isn't great, and it heavily relies on renders from free assets I can find. That's the blunt truth. I pose them and run scripts to make ASCII images.

I'm not an #artist or a #comic author really, but I'm trying to make something cool.

I'm just posing renders and running a script that I made ontop of me trying to build a story.

My comic requires a lot of context to actually understand, but I hope that people like it regardless.

@ReignOfRaining All of the "dating" apps are owned by Match Group - stay away from them. And, yes, it's every app. The best advice I have for you is to actually go to your local library and just generally meet people.

It feels kinda bad, since what I do is setup renders from free assets (I try for both free as in beer and free as in speech - I should find a license), and then use my poorly coded image to ASCII converter.

Is it still art if I do things this way? That's a legit question. Everything I make is based on #unixsurrealism which @[email protected] has made Public Domain. (I'm sorry, I couldn't remember your mastodon handle!)

Overheard this conversation in the cube jungle, over cubicle walls:

Every time I read #UnixSurrealism it makes me want to switch to #Plan9.
