I'm currently working on trying to build #UnixODBC, #FreeTDS and #PSQLODBC on #AIX from source. Found out it builds on Windows as well, so I'm building and testing it on AIX, Windows and Linux platforms. @dff Searching the #unixODBC site, it looks like there was a text/#csv #ODBC driver called #SQI with LGPL license. I'm not seeing the code in the latest version of unixODBC even though the driver is listed at their site. However, much older versions of unixODBC had a txt subdirectory under Drivers with the code. Wonder if anyone's using this driver and how hard it would be to get it built and working. #AskFedi #AskFediverse

I spent part of this week explaining #unixODBC to someone that couldn't get it to work. Lots or learning curve there for a first time Unix user.
I definitely picked up on an undercurrent question from this unwilling pupal: "Can't you just get this working for me so I can focus on my shiny #LLM stuff?"
My response: "Nope, I'll teach you to fish, but I'm not going to feed you fish."
