This new issue brings together seven articles by PhD candidates and early-career researchers from the laboratory, covering a wide range of topics:

🏛️ Rihab Ben Salma Bouzir explores the Morisco heritage of Testour, Tunisia, examining its architectural legacy and the importance of preserving it as a living and valuable territorial resource.

🎮 Arnault Djaoui examines representations of the sacred and religious symbols in Japanese video games, focusing in particular on major J-RPG series and their use of folklore, sacredness and spirituality.

🎬 Carla Dreij explores the representation of the martyr and his mother in Lebanese cinema of “resistance”, through an intersectional approach to sacrifice and the relationship between the martyr and his mother.

🌍 Drahmane Fondo contributes two articles. The first examines the roles of customary and religious actors in Mali and their influence in the political and public spheres. The second explores the notion of the “unborn child in Africa” from multiple perspectives, including beliefs, cultures and representations.

📜 Benjamin Christophe Lambert examines the dating, authorship and historical context of the medieval Castilian poem “La Dança general de la Muerte”.

🧠 Vincent Petard explores, from a Lacanian perspective, the transmission of the patronymic name and guilt through the particular case of a patient receiving treatment as part of a court-ordered care requirement.

A new publication showcasing the diversity of research conducted by young researchers at LIRCES.

  5. When the library of the J.A. Dieudonné Mathematics Laboratory (LJAD – Mathematics and Interactions) in Nice becomes a key venue for supporting researchers on HAL?

✨ Delighted by the success of this first HALathon!

From 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., on a continuous basis, researchers came to ask questions about their HAL accounts, their deposits, and their practices.
This morning highlighted the strong commitment of the laboratory’s members to open science.

✔️ This initiative confirms the role of the library as a place for mediation, training, and research support, closely aligned with the needs of scientific teams.

👉 A very positive experience to be repeated, as not all researchers were able to attend this first meeting. They have not been forgotten. A second HALathon is planned for the spring!
