Federal District Court Deborah Boardman, Maryland issued preliminary injunction today blocking Trump’s attempt to #unilaterally eliminate automatic U.S. #citizenship for children born to #undocumented or temporary #immigrants on US soil. I'm just an ignorant #Canadian, but I've read the US #constitution, and it seems pretty clear to me - the U.S. #Congress has "the power of the purse", not the #presidency .
Seems like this was a #forgone #conclusion, unless you think courts should rule by #feelz rather than by #laws.
