Hot dog, I got #ios27 #AppleHome #unifiprotect all working together, mostly. The stitching of the clips is broken but that just means I get to send another Feedback!

So it looks like Unifi released an update to protect that targets this issue with Home Assistant.

"Fixed an issue where motion events were not working in Home Assistant."

Updating now.

While trying to figure out why my Unifi Protect stopped updating the Home Assistant entities I came across this GitHub issue. Looks like it will be fixed in 2026.3. So if you suffer from it and can wait it should be fixed. I hope.

In my sickness I've tried to use my hyperfocus to forget about the pain and it kinda worked...

I've tried to use unifi-proxy-cam to connect my shitty hacked #YIHack cam #rtsp stream to #UniFi Dream Machine and #UniFiProtect.

Wasted half of the day with no success. Managed only to get an image preview every minute or so.

I guess I have to stick to #cameraui and use #HomeBridge to passthrough to #HomeKit...

This is my first venture into the unifi protect system. Got some more outdoor CAT6 due tomorrow. Need to get some cables made up and workout how I'm going to run one to a tough to reach part of the garage roof.
