• They are small, great for multi-modal commutes
• Also easy to store
• Unlikely to get stolen
• Your hands are free to hold an umbrella or eat your breakfast
• Great for sparking up conversation with people you meet on your travels

My hands are so free that I can even take a picture of myself holding my snack. 😜

And yes many bicyclists can cycle hands free but can they slow down and turn tight corners remaining so? I think that a #unicycle still has the upper… hand. 🤣

Time to swap out the winter tyres for summer variants and do a general checkup. So I am off to the Bike shop.

First step, put the unicycle in the cargo bike, so that I have transport home.

When you cycle home in hot weather do you ever wish you could buy an ice cream and eat it on the way? Ideally in a cup, with a spoon because you are a civilised person who does not want melted ice cream running down your hands in the sweltering heat.

A ride with contrasts on my way in to today. Along the way I saw a sign about Nordpolen school shutting down (there cost savings happening right now within education 🙁). However on the same ride I also cycled past the newly opened Bentsebrua school at the sight of a former factory. That at least cheered me up somewhat.

When I need a few essentials from the local store(s), I often take use a #unicycle for transport. I always have one right outside my apartment's front door. It's much faster than walking and my hands are free for carrying the shopping. Perfect.

Yesterday I got a puncture when out with my cargo bike. So I left it behind, and came back later on the unicycle with tools, a repair kit and a pump. I fixed up the puncture, then put the unicycle in the cargo bike and cycled home. #UnicyclesArePractical

Cycling hands free is the best!
