People are pretty unhappy about Anthropic’s recent announcement that they’re planning to include a hidden watermark in Claude model outputs. Will this lead to a mass exodus from Anthropic models? Will the introduction of watermarking be a meaningful change for users?

@elsua54 Yeah the bad is not as transparent...
but I'm sure they have seen enough to question things AND EVEN IF was #transparent...
they would make some excuse and see it as not possible (and thereby make sure it's not possible to use it less).
It's almost fascism (#lazy / #uncaring in a different #spectrum.
They really have to #care & not just choose the #easiest way all the time.
I understand to some level - but very #unhappy with the situation & #dependency.

#Happiness and quality of life is measured by the brain as things getting better. It doesn't have to be perfect or the best, just getting better which is why people in nations with a lower standard of living are happier than we are. We are living in late stage rent seeking #enshittification where we might be better off than others but by every metric has gotten worse. If happiness is the brains measure of things getting better, unhappiness is caused when things are getting worse.
If you are unhappy right now you are paying attention and we don't know yet what the bottom might look like. Stay strong everyone, don't feel guilt about being unhappy, that wastes energy you could use to make it better -
Reminded by someone else posting about the idiot who comes up to loudly complain about something inconsequential to the volunteers running an event...
There are people who exist to complain. It doesn't matter what you do, they will be unhappy regardless. They could demand something as a solution and you immediately agree to it, and they'd still fight about it. You can bend over backwards trying to make things right by giving them anything and everything, it won't stop them complaining.
Sometimes you just have to stand up, stop apologizing, and say "Maybe this just isn't for you. Let me walk you out."
