Alista CIDH su informe sobre desapariciones en México
Se integra a la serie de evaluaciones internacionales sobre desapariciones en México elaboradas por organismos multilaterales.

La Comisión Interamericana de Derechos Humanos (CIDH) alista este lunes la presentación de un informe sobre desapariciones en el país, en un contexto marcado por el aumento de víctimas registradas y por la atención internacional al fenómeno. La vicepresidente del organismo, Andrea Pochak, encabezará el acto con la presencia de funcionarios federales y representantes diplomáticos.
Las secretarías de Gobernación y de Relaciones Exteriores confirmaron su participación mediante un comunicado conjunto difundido horas antes del evento. Los subsecretarios Arturo Medina Padilla y Enrique Ochoa anunciaron estar presentes en representación de la administración de la mandataria Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo para asistir a la presentación oficial del documento elaborado por la CIDH.
El informe se presenta a poco más de un mes de que el Comité contra la Desaparición Forzada de Naciones Unidas solicitara la intervención de la Asamblea General de la Organización de las Naciones Unidas (ONU) para analizar la crisis de desapariciones en México.
Datos oficiales y reportes internacionales estimaron que el número de personas desaparecidas superó las 133 mil víctimas en el territorio nacional. El caso mexicano permanece bajo observación internacional debido a la dimensión de la problemática y a los retos institucionales para atenderla.
Participación internacional
La Comisión Interamericana de Derechos Humanos (CIDH) explicó que el informe incluye hallazgos, metodologías y recomendaciones orientadas a fortalecer la respuesta institucional frente a las desapariciones.
El organismo indicó que el documento forma parte de sus mecanismos regionales de observación y seguimiento en materia de derechos humanos. La exposición abordó además distintos elementos relacionados con la cooperación entre autoridades mexicanas y organismos multilaterales. –sn–

Women and girls across the globe — including pregnant women, mothers, and young girls — face higher risks of maternal death and unintended pregnancy while childbirth care is disrupted, contraception becomes scarce, and services for survivors of violence shrink. Adolescent girls are robbed of education, forced into child marriages, and brutalized by female genital mutilation.
