I enjoy how this #creepypasta story is just as much about the narrator's development as it is about any phenomena or physical reactions and sensations. (Also see MR James) To me, the best stories---horror or otherwise---show character change in response to experience. I also like this story because it is grounded in some historic truth or actual local legend, which is not necessary of course, but here, it lends itself well to a creation of #unease. #horror #audiostory
