  5. There's no way to save the #Westcoast community pod from #extinction . Their #fate is a #StarkWarning of the need to #protect the world’s remaining orcas.
“We see #orcas as hugely robust, powerful #creatures at the top of the ocean’s #FoodChain w| nothing that can harm them but that’s far from the truth. The whole #species is facing #HugePressures now. If our #apex #predator is #UnderThreat - #WakeUpCall for what’s happening in the rest of the #ocean

  9. It does help to look back and notice 1) how fascism was characterized when convenient, and 2) how does fascism differ nowadays

Question 1 is answered with "labor unions were banned", which is funny coming from the US.

Question 2 forms in my head a hint that these days it's not as explicitly centralized, top-bottom, militaristic, openly collectivist. The carefully orchestrated nature of the 40s is definitely out of the window, and I worry that's the one thing that people really associated deeply with fascism when it's obviously more than that. Instead, what you see more of is an oxymoron in disguise, what I'd like to call collective individualism, claiming: there's fundamental values in which a free society is laid on, those values are #underThreat, these threats must be eRrAdIcAtEd, don't question why is that freedom, it's obvious, you're smart enough to not overthink it, right?
