Das TV-Serien-Projekt "Orion" befindet sich ja bekanntlich seit längerem bei der ausführenden Firma
"Uncharted Territory" in der Entwicklungsphase.
Unter den Klängen des Raumpatrouille-Soundtracks hat nun Lucia Scharbatke, CEO/Producer/Head of Legal Affairs bei "Uncharted Territory" und bei "Fakultät Design" tätig, in ihrer Instagram-Story auf ein Interview verwiesen, das ihr Kollege Volker Engel zu "Orion" gegeben hat. Da oben links in der Story das Cover der Dezember-Ausgabe der Zeitschrift "Cinema" zu sehen ist, könnte das Interview entweder in dieser oder in der November-Ausgabe erschienen sein.
Außerdem hat Frau Scharbatke auch auf einen demnächst erscheinenden Podcast mit Volker Engel zum Thema "Orion" hingewiesen.

"Life on planet Earth is under siege. We are now in an uncharted territory. For several decades, scientists have consistently warned of a future marked by extreme climatic conditions because of escalating global temperatures caused by ongoing human activities that release harmful greenhouse gasses into the atmosphere. Unfortunately, time is up. We are seeing the manifestation of those predictions as an alarming and unprecedented succession of climate records are broken, causing profoundly distressing scenes of suffering to unfold. We are entering an unfamiliar domain regarding our climate crisis, a situation no one has ever witnessed firsthand in the history of humanity."

“Life on our planet is clearly under siege...The statistical trends show deeply alarming patterns of climate-related variables and disasters. We also found little progress to report as far as humanity combating climate change.”
"Fossil fuel subsidies roughly doubled between 2021 and 2022 globally, from $US531 billion to just over $US1 trillion.
This year Canadian wildfires have pumped more than 1 gigaton of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere, greater than Canada’s total 2021 greenhouse emissions.In 2023, there have already been 38 days with global average temperatures more than 1.5 degrees Celsius above pre-industrial levels.
The highest average Earth surface temperature ever recorded was in July, and there’s reason to believe it was the highest surface temperature the planet has seen in the last 100,000 years."
