DNS – Who controls the phone book of the Internet? 2026-03-26, 12:00

This week we will look into #DNS, the system that translates domain names into IP addresses. In an experiment we will make your DNS requests visible. @tykling from #UncensoredDNS will tell us about security and privacy issues with the DNS protocol, and introduce us to solutions like #DoT, #DoH, and tools to avoid DNS blocking.

what's going on with your "free non logging and uncensored public DNS" (95.215.19.53)?
I'm getting no answers since this morning on my #dnsping from various locations/providers (Vodafone in Germany and Hetzner in Germany as well in Finnland) 🤷‍♂️

DNS4EU ist ja in aller Munde derzeit. Habt ihr euch eigentlich mal deren about Page durchgelesen und den Absatz gefunden das das Produkt am besten noch 2025 kommerzialisiert werden soll um sich selber zu tragen?

The EU will partially contribute to the development of the infrastructure and it is expected and encouraged by the European Commission that the service is commercialised, since it has to be sustainable without operational costs from the EU after 2025. "

Da würde ich doch lieber einen anderen Zensurfreien in Europa gehosteten DNS Server vorziehen welche zum Beispiel Vereinen wie Digitalcourage oder von Privatpersonen wie UncensoredDNS betrieben werden.
