On this day last year, hundreds of people united in Dharawal Country to advocate for the Yes Campaign. It was indeed a beautiful day filled with love and support.

Regardless of last year's result, I remain proud of all the local YES23 Sutherland Shire volunteers and everyone else involved. I feel incredibly grateful to have been able to capture these special moments and hope for more change in the future.

With the voice referendum being a week away, we'd like to take a moment to thank everyone on Aus.social and elsewhere using CWs and/or hashtags and discussing respectfully.

Using CWs and hashtags lets people choose whether to engage. We would like First Nations people to be able to enjoy the fedi without having to read white people's opinions about them.

Further, unfortunately it needs to be said: no matter where people stand on this issue, offensive imagery and derogatory comments about First Nations people will be swiftly dealt with under Aus.social's Code of Conduct.
