Wszyscy mówią o monitorze tętna i dwa razy lepszej redukcji hałasu w nowych słuchawkach AirPods Pro 3, które Apple zaprezentowało w tym tygodniu. Jednak w ich etui ładującym ukryto technologię, która jest nie tylko usprawnieniem, ale też wyraźną zapowiedzią możliwości kolejnego, wyczekiwanego produktu firmy.

Przypomnijmy, że już w AirPods Pro 2 Apple wprowadziło długo oczekiwaną funkcję: możliwość precyzyjnego zlokalizowania samego etui w aplikacji Znajdź Mój. Było to możliwe dzięki zastosowaniu w nim czipu U1. Wcześniej, jeśli słuchawki były schowane w etui, ich odnalezienie było niemożliwe. Teraz Apple idzie o krok dalej, implementując w etui AirPods Pro 3 znacznie potężniejszy czip U2.

W przypadku AirPods Pro 3 oznacza to, że będziemy mogli zlokalizować zgubione etui z o wiele większą precyzją i z dalszej odległości.

Najciekawszy jest jednak szerszy kontekst. Implementacja tak potężnego czipu w słuchawkach jest wyraźnym sygnałem dotyczącym planów firmy. Według wiarygodnych doniesień, Apple pracuje nad nową generacją lokalizatora AirTag, która również zostanie wyposażona w czip U2. Wprowadzając go już teraz do AirPods Pro 3, firma przygotowuje i rozbudowuje ekosystem urządzeń zdolnych do komunikacji z ultra-precyzyjną dokładnością.

Poza nowym czipem, AirPods Pro 3 oferują oczywiście wspomniany już sensor tętna i dwukrotnie skuteczniejsze aktywne wyciszanie hałasu. Wydłużył się również czas pracy na baterii – do 10 godzin w trybie kontaktu, w porównaniu do 6 godzin w poprzedniej generacji. Apple Car Key w drugiej generacji Rivian R1S i R1T

Rivian aktywował obsługę Apple Car Key w swoich drugiej generacji pojazdach R1S i R1T.

Funkcja działa przez aplikację Wallet na iPhonie i Apple Watch, umożliwiając otwieranie auta za pomocą NFC, a w modelach z Ultra Wideband nawet bez wyciągania telefonu z kieszeni.

Dotąd Rivian oferował własny system cyfrowych kluczy w aplikacji, ale integracja z Apple Wallet zapewnia większą wygodę, m.in. udostępnianie klucza czy Express Mode, który działa nawet po rozładowaniu urządzenia.

At this point I just fail to see the logic in omitting UWB from the regular Google Pixel phones. It means yet another year before there is any chance of mass adoption of long range higher accuracy UWB powered tracking tiles by Android users. If Google included it and pushed this ecosystem it would push every Android phone maker to include it.
