Started painting my first Ultramarine in about 25 years.
I went over onto the faceplate a little while doing a rough first pass on the helmet stripe and I actually quite like the look: almost like hand-painted warpaint. Now I have to decide whether I go with it, or tidy up and pull back into a more standard Titus scheme.

I like it on it's own but I worry it won't blend with the details the way I would like. I'll fill them in and then try using oil washes to try and unify the final thing?
