I tried watching BBC #Kuenssberg's interview with #DarrenJones, https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/m002vphq.
There was no point in the whole 20 minutes that any part of Jones told me that he was a Labour politician. Not his demeanour, his values, his priorities, his policies, nothing.
Yes, he is Chief Secretary to the Prime Minister, and that came across. His job is to defend the Prime Minister. But this passionless suit gave not a hint of anything to suggest what movement had put him in place.

I keep seeing articles with stats saying various things have led to a number of arrests.
Is it just me, or is that a totally useless statistic? Great, they've arrested 500+ people. How many of them have been prosecuted? How many actual convictions? How many were false arrests? How many people were falsely stopped because the system got it wrong?
Number of arrests alone is entirely useless and treats the public as idiots.

U.K. police say that no further action will be taken against the Northern Irish band Kneecap over remarks made during their performance at the Glastonbury music festival. Avon and Somerset Police had launched a criminal investigation into the Irish language rap trio after they referenced band member Liam Óg Ó hAnnaidh's upcoming court case. After advice from the U.K.'s Crown Prosecution Service, police decided to drop the investigation on the grounds that there was "insufficient evidence to provide a realistic prospect of conviction for any offence." "New guidance from the National Police Chiefs’ Council (NPCC) on “child death investigation” advises officers to search for “drugs that can terminate pregnancy” in cases involving stillbirths. The NPCC, which sets strategic direction for policing across the country UK, also suggests a woman’s digital devices could be seized to help investigators “establish a woman’s knowledge and intention in relation to the pregnancy”. That could include checking a woman’s internet searches, messages to friends and family, and health apps, “such as menstrual cycle and fertility trackers”, it states."
