@hittitezombie One of the most disturbing aspects of this destruction of liberty is the attitudes of the #LabourParty which oversees these horrors.
Faced with proscription of opposition to genocide, sentencing for "terrorism" which wasn't mentioned in court, mass arrests of peaceful sign-holders, a barrister being persecuted .. most of Labour is either untroubled, or insufficiently concerned to make a big stink.
Labour is an enabler of repression.
#London, Thursday: heroic #MetropolitanPolice officers arrested at least 117 terrorists, mostly elderly.
In a sinister escalation, many of the terrorists displayed no sign of their opposition to #genocide or support for #PalestineAction. #MetPol arrested the terrorists for the sickening crime of sitting on the pavement.
Others were arrested for attending court as summoned.

On Sunday, 84-year-old Rev #SueParfitt was arrested again, under the UK #TerrorismAct. She was speaking outside #NewScotlandYard on the anniversary of the proscription of #PalestineAction. Parfitt faces up to 14 years in prison for her crime.

No surprise. It fits #sentencing guidelines for a major theft and deep betrayal of trust by a very senior person.
This is a serious crime, but it's a non-violent crime. #Prison brutalises people, and destroys lives.
Non-violent crimes should get non-violent sentences. Why not say 1,000 hours of community service instead of each year in prison?

Claire Kerrison arrested at 4:33am on 17 June 2025, in her Brighton home, for sending emails concerning 'israel's' #genocide in #Gaza to #PeterKyle MP.
4 cops seized her electronics. Held her for >8 hours. Released on strict bail. Charged under Communications Act.
Case dragged on for a year. Multiple court hearings. Case dismissed.
Because the British government now treats protest as terrorism, the average terror suspect in England and Wales is a white woman in her 50s who held a handwritten cardboard sign .

Irish people have long seen "British justice" as an oxymoron.
But British injustice is increasingly crass. Back when Brit cops beat confessions out of innocent Irish people, the torture happened in private. Public courts maintained the charade of "justice".
Judge Jeremy Johnson dropped the pretence of #fairtrial. The #Filton24 trial was a farce: anti-genociders banned from explaining actions, and sentenced for crimes they were not convicted of.

#DefendOurJuries organises protests against the UK's ban on #PalestineAction. DOJ says that 2,787 people had been arrested under the ban.
The ban remains in force pending an appeal. So up to 2,787 people still face onerous bail restrictions
BUT if the Appeal Court upholds the ban's overturning, then that's 2,787 wrongful arrest cases. The compensation bill will be huge.
And there will be many other cases, esp the #Filton24 who have been treated as terrorists in prison.

A new manager has meant dramatically increased workload (12h days, 6–7 days a week).
Yesterday, my friend requested and was granted a day off – the first one in multiple weeks.
Today, they called and said that as a result of this day off, he's no longer needed.
Don't they need to provide notice?
